European window and door hardware import for buildings

Many European windows and doors in New York were installed with hardware that isn't stocked in the U.S. Bee Locksmith sources it directly from the European manufacturer's supply chain, for a single job or for a whole building, and our own technicians install it. Condo boards, managers, developers and general contractors get one company that identifies the hardware, orders it, explains the lead time and finishes the work.

Single jobs

For one window or door, we identify the hardware on the first visit, check whether the part is available here, and if not, order it from the manufacturer's supply chain. The estimate lists the part, the lead time the supplier confirms and the install visit.

Whole buildings and multi-unit projects

  • Unit-by-unit survey of windows, balcony doors and entrance doors
  • Hardware schedule listing the system, part and quantity for each unit
  • One consolidated order for the building instead of a part at a time
  • Matching the original hardware so every unit looks and works the same
  • Scheduled installs by floor or line, coordinated with the managing agent

Condo and new-construction developers

Developers and general contractors call us when a building is finishing, in its warranty period, or after the original installer is gone. We work from the window and door schedule where there is one, order the hardware in bulk, keep spare parts for the building where it makes sense, and handle the punch-list and warranty calls.

Matching original hardware

We match by manufacturer, system, profile, backset, finish and handle style. When an original part is discontinued, we tell you, and propose the closest compatible part from the same system or a different manufacturer before we order. We commonly service Roto, Siegenia, GU, Winkhaus, Maco, Hoppe and similar European hardware; we are not a dealer for these manufacturers.

Lead times, explained honestly

Imported hardware lead times depend on the manufacturer, the part, the quantity and what the factory has in stock. We don't publish a number because it would not be true for every order. Each estimate gives the lead time the supplier confirms for that order, and we update the building if it changes. Where an opening can't lock while parts are on order, we make it secure on the first visit wherever we can.

The doorDoor division: service, fabrication and install.
The lockLocksmiths: cylinders, keying and hardware.
The releaseLow voltage: strikes, maglocks, readers and intercoms.
The door, the lock, and the release are one job. We don't hand that off.

Frequently asked questions

Can you import European hardware for one window?

Yes. Single jobs get the same sourcing as building orders; the estimate lists the part and the confirmed lead time.

How long does imported hardware take?

It depends on the manufacturer, the part, the quantity and factory stock. We give the lead time the supplier confirms in writing, rather than a guess.

Can you match the hardware already in our building?

Usually yes. We match the manufacturer, system and finish, and tell you before ordering if a part is discontinued and what the closest compatible part is.

Do you work with developers and general contractors?

Yes. We work from the window and door schedule, order in bulk, and handle punch-list and warranty work with our own technicians.

Are you a dealer for Roto, Siegenia, GU, Winkhaus, Maco or Hoppe?

No. We commonly service these and similar brands, and source their hardware through the manufacturer's supply chain. Our authorized dealer brands are Mul-T-Lock, ButterflyMX and Akuvox.
