European window and door hardware repair and import in NYC
Bee Locksmith repairs and replaces European window and door hardware for buildings, developers, managers and businesses in New York City, Westchester and Long Island: tilt-and-turn windows, balcony and terrace doors, multipoint locks, gearboxes, euro profile cylinders, handles and hinges. When the part isn't sold here, we source it from the European manufacturer's supply chain, for one window or for a whole building. Our mobile technicians come to you and do the work on site.

Brands we commonly service
We work on Roto, Siegenia, GU, Winkhaus, Maco, Hoppe and similar European hardware. Most European windows and doors installed in New York use one of a small number of hardware systems, and once we identify the system we can usually match the part. We are not a dealer for these manufacturers; we identify, source, install and service their hardware.
Why European hardware is different
European windows and doors lock through the hardware, not a single latch. One handle drives a gearbox, and the gearbox drives rods, rollers, hooks or bolts at several points around the sash or door. When one component wears or breaks, the whole opening stops locking or stops tilting. The fix is usually one part, not a new window or door, as long as someone identifies the right system.
How a European hardware job runs
- Survey: a technician comes to you, measures the profile, backset, gearbox and cylinder, and photographs the markings
- Identify: we match the manufacturer and system, or the closest compatible part when the original is discontinued
- Estimate: a written estimate with the parts, whether they are in stock here or must be imported, and the lead time the supplier confirms
- Install: our technicians fit, adjust and test the hardware on site, and leave the window or door locking and sealing as designed
Lead times, honestly
Some parts are stocked in the U.S. and some are not. When a part has to come from Europe, the lead time depends on the manufacturer, the part and whether it is in stock at the factory. We don't guess: the estimate gives the lead time the supplier confirms, and we tell you if it changes. Where a window or door can't lock in the meantime, we make it secure on the first visit wherever we can.

Learn moreFrequently asked questions
Can you fix a tilt-and-turn window that won't lock?
Usually yes. Most failures are the handle, the gearbox or the locking gear, which can be replaced without replacing the window.
What if the part isn't available in the U.S.?
We source it from the European manufacturer's supply chain and give you the lead time the supplier confirms in the written estimate.
Which European hardware brands do you work on?
We commonly service Roto, Siegenia, GU, Winkhaus, Maco, Hoppe and similar European hardware. We are not a dealer for these manufacturers; we identify, source, install and service their hardware.
Can you supply hardware for a whole building?
Yes. We survey the units, match the original hardware and place one order for the building. See European hardware import.
Do you work in occupied co-ops and condos?
Yes. Our mobile technicians work with the managing agent, the COI and the building's access rules, and schedule unit visits with residents.
